Maintenance Day is Coming!
Every end of December, Esco conducts a special day known as a maintenance day. This activity is carried out as a concrete form of implementing the 5S policy which is also one of the working principles at Esco. 5S Stands for Sort, Set Shine, Standardize, Sustain.

In this activity, each department, production line, and office will sort, tidy up, clean, and standardize their work so they can improve and maintain the good results that have been achieved.

For this year, the maintenance day will be held on Saturday, December 17th, 2022.
.
Everything we do certainly has goals and targets that we will achieve, right? Then, what is exactly the purpose of the maintenance day itself? Check out the explanation below.

Inculcate discipline.
Forming disciplinary habits can start with the small thing around you. This activity certainly builds a responsible sense in all employees for handling their duties and everything that is devolved to them by starting with maintaining their workspace.

Inculcate respect for every small thing.
“If you want to achieve perfection in big things, start developing good habits in small things.”
With implementing the 5S policy, we intend to pay attention to every detail, from Large and small equipment to every file stored on our desktop. This is the first step to making us have ownership of our duties perfectly.

Encourage teamwork by getting everyone at all levels working together in general activities.
Production success definitely cannot be done individually. Good cooperation and coordination from each division are needed to be able to achieve the big target.
This activity encourages each division to compromise and find the best solution to a problem or a potential problem by doing preventative action.

Make problems and waste visible
By doing Sort in 5S, we can identify the problem and waste from our previous work habits and search for the best and most efficient work methods.

Enable Kaizen and Improve Quality to develop ourselves, the company, and the world.
Kaizen has come to mean "continuous improvement”. Doing 5S means having continuous improvement in ourselves, searching for perfection in every aspect of ourselves like work habits, thinking methods, personal development, and many more.
This continuous improvement is expected to build a snowball effect and become a day-by-day improvement to our company, and even our world.
